It was the first year attending the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) Awards of Excellence for the Justin Gray Homes team, and it was certainly an exciting night of celebrations! After a couple of years of virtual-only activities, it was great to see everyone in person and dressed up for the Roaring Twenties theme. The CHBA annually brings together industry leaders from around Edmonton to recognize company achievements over the year.
We are proud to share that in 2022 Justin Gray Homes won awards in two single family home categories! These were a couple of our favourite new builds from the past year, Queen Alexandra 6 for Best Single Family Home $450,000 – $500,000 and Ritchie 9 for Best Single Family Homes $500,000 – $600,000.
Queen Alexandra 6
This home showcases clean and contemporary style with cozy, country accents, making it an incredible infill addition to the thriving south central community of Queen Alexandra. As soon as you walk in the door of this custom-built single-family home you’ll be captivated by the impressive American clay gas fireplace and open-concept layout. The main floor features a gourmet chef’s kitchen complete with coffee station and island seating for entertaining or casual seating, living room and dining room with designer lighting. The interior includes timeless details throughout such as shiplap textured walls, vaulted ceilings, and Douglas Fir wood beam ceilings. Bold black accents from the lighting, faucets and hardware anchor this light yet warm space. The kitchen holds white shaker cabinetry and clean white quartz countertops, complete with timeless white herringbone backsplash tile. Spatially, the moment you enter the amazing open-concept main floor, you’re greeted by the incredible open-to-above foyer. Accessed through French doors, the den features a custom built-in desk with shelving. A unique element that we were excited to include in this home is the tiled dog wash located in the rear mudroom; the perfect addition to create a pet-friendly home.
Upstairs, vaulted shiplap ceilings in the primary suite are highlighted with a wooden beam. The oversized windows bring the mature trees outside, in, adding to the cozy ambiance of this room. Through a sliding barn door, the five-piece ensuite is an owner’s retreat with dual sinks and relaxing soaker tub. With over 2,300 sq ft of living space, three bedrooms and two and half bathrooms complete with a den and upstairs bonus room, this home has it all.
